Welcome to my ultimate Paleo chocolate and nuts mug cake.
As one chocolate addict to another I am sure you know that feeling when all you want is chocolate. When nothing else helps and you need chocolate like a baby needs warm milk. But you signed up for Paleo so you are not allowed to talk about or discuss chocolate in any way whatsoever. If you even mention it you have crossed over to the other side.
Well I am one of those chocolate addicts and Paleo or no Paleo I need my fix.
So what if I was to offer you a quick chocolate fix that was good for you and you could have as part of your Paleo way of life?
This is when my Paleo chocolate mug cake comes in. It has nuts (a must have on Paleo) chocolate and is lovely and delicious and super quick to make for when you want that super fast chocolate kick.
- 3 Tbsp cocoa nibs
- 1Tsp cocoa powder
- Small packet of nuts
- Handful sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
- 2 tbsps banana flour
- Pinch baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 drops Natural vanilla extract
- 10 ml water
- Add all ingredients into a bowl (apart from the almonds) and mix well until it becomes a thick batter. If you are like me I like this very gooey in the middle so I would cook it for about 2 minutes in a microwave.
- But we do not have a microwave so we put this into our Airfryer for about 10 minutes (unless you like it well cooked) it does take longer in the Airfryer so if you want a stiff centre add another 4 minutes.
- Serve in your mug with sprinkled almonds on top.
