Welcome to the ultimate Paleo berry smoothie recipe.
I absolutely love smoothies and having a smoothie is often associated with processed foods, high calories and being generally unhealthy. As a general rule those on Paleo just don’t do smoothies. But what if you could find a nice and healthy smoothie that is Paleo too?
Would you have it?
Well I would.
It would taste amazing and be much better than the ones I have tried before that has just been about fruit and not much more than that.
Plus if you are into Paleo for weight loss then there is nothing better then berries because they are the lowest calorie fruit out there and so good for you!
Well the team at Heavy2Healthy have been busy at work and this is what they have come up with!
- 2 Bananas
- 2 Tbsp Nuts (Pecan)
- 1 Tbsp Flax Seed Meal
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 Tsp Honey
- 1.5 Cups Raspberries
- 0.25 Cup Paleo Cereal
- Firstly make sure your blender is up to the job, as the nuts can be quite harsh on your equipment.
- Add to the blender the bananas, nuts, flax seed meal, coconut oil, honey and water with the raspberries and Paleo cereal until you have a smooth consistency.
- If the mixture is too thick add some more water or like me add some ice cubes.
- If it is just for one person add it into 2 glasses and save one for later when you need a little pick me up.
