Supermodel Tyra Banks has embraced the paleo diet to maintain her perfect figure. After leaving modeling, the fashion icon has gained some weight. Although she doesn’t believe in diets, she decided to give the paleo lifestyle a try. Tyra also drinks green tea daily to keep her metabolism up and burn more calories.
The paleo diet is a favorite choice for many celebrities and athletes, such as Katie Holmes, Ronda Rousey, Kristin Cavallari, and Blake Lively. Even though this eating plan has gotten its fare share of criticism, its benefits are backed up by science. High in protein, it increases metabolism and helps maintain muscle while shedding fat. The paleo lifestyle has also been linked to a lower risk of diabetes, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, and cancer.
Tyra Banks is famous for her hourglass figure. She spent years in gym and ate healthy her entire life to look this way. Tyra claims that ditching the sugar and refined grains from her diet made all the difference. Now she has more energy and finds it easier to maintain her figure. Unlike other celebrities, Tyra stays away from weight loss pills and focuses on clean eating. Her snacks include whole, natural foods, such as bananas, raw honey, organic blueberries, or hemp seeds. She also drinks paleo friendly protein shakes to maintain her lean mass and shed fat.
The supermodel has become a workout junkie last year. She loves to exercise with free weights and kettlebells, but also enjoys outdoors activities like parachute running. Her favorite exercises include rowing, push-ups, burpees, mountain climbers, squats, and other bodyweight moves. Two of her weekly workouts consist of cardio training. When combined with regular exercise, the paleo diet is even more effective for losing weight and keeping it off.
