Welcome to pregnancy Paleo and Paleo at 32 weeks pregnant.
I wish the person in the stock photo was me. That would mean that I didn’t look the size of a house and that I didn’t have a single stretchmark in sight. But I am a real wimp when it comes to showing off my body and haven’t even posted any pictures on my personal Facebook account to friends and family. This is probably because when you are pregnant you become very insecure about your body and don’t want the world to see it.
But you are probably wondering as I am now 32 weeks pregnant, how things are going?
Well for starters I have had a very stressful few weeks. I have had lots of different electricals all break in the same week. We had to replace our laptop and hoover. Then our washing machine also broke and we had to wait for the repair men to come out and fix it!
On top of this we found out that a member of our family had been diagnosed with cancer.
But what happens when I am stressed is that I actually under eat and on a bad day could pass for the 5:2 fasting diet. This means that since week 28 instead of gaining weight I have lost 0.2 kilos instead.
I am not exercising but I am maintaining my weight which feels weird for the final trimester of pregnancy: but the big difference is that even though I am eating healthy, but don’t eat huge portions means that I don’t fall into the eating for two ratios that many mums to be do.
This will mean that my baby is still getting all the nutrients it needs and I am not going to have a huge weight gain at the end to think about. Also from a weight point of view I am a 100% match for the same time in pregnancy with my daughter!
So it is becoming a very interesting time 🙂
Eight Weeks Of Pregnancy To Go…..
There are now just 8 weeks to go and I cant believe that in 8 weeks time I will be holding my newborn baby in my arms. I also feel that thanks to the wonderful world of Paleo that I will be relatively fit for the occasion. I have had a lot of Paleo food in my pregnancy and it has helped keep me going without me feeling like I am going to collapse all the time.
So if you are pregnant just think of the difference you could make to your body by following the Paleo lifestyle. You don’t have to be at the beginning you could be as far on as me and just make light changes to begin with such as giving up processed foods and then do what feels right!
