Welcome to my Paleo good morning smoothie recipe.
As I have mentioned many times on the blog recently my biggest addiction at the moment is avocados. Being pregnant it is all I want to eat and I would eat them from dawn until dusk if I could! They give me a fantastic hit of good fats and they certainly keep me off the McDonalds.
But at the same time I am really not a breakfast person and tend to avoid it. Quite often my partner will nag me for the fact that it is 11am I still haven’t had breakfast or that I go until lunchtime on either an avocado or banana or not have anything at all.
However if you have lived like this for a number of years it can be very hard to turn the corner and suddenly eat breakfast. The best option of course is to have a healthy smoothie to start your day instead.
Imagine a breakfast that includes the likes of avocados, bananas and spinach. You’re not only getting your good fats but also your fruit and greens at the same time. This is clearly perfect for breakfast haters like myself!
- 1 Avocado (peeled and cut in half)
- 1 Large Banana
- ⅓ Cup Spinach Leaves
- Put everything in the blender and blend and then start to slowly add the water until it is at a good consistency depending how you like it.
- If you like cold smoothies then add some ice cubes to your glass before you add the mixture or alternatively add them to your mixture in the blender and crush them in either way it will be cold to drink.
