Cinnamon raisin bread is perfect for a hearty paleo breakfast, as a snack, or as a dessert. Fluffy and delicious, it will satisfy your cravings without adding inches to your waist. This grain free treat will have you wondering if it’s really paleo. The flavor is to die for!
Everyone knows that bread is off limits on the paleo diet. Personally, I haven’t eaten bread for years. It contains empty calories, and has little or nutritional value. Some varieties are high in fiber, but there are better ways to get this nutrient in your diet.
Paleo bread, on the other hand, is loaded with protein, healthy fats, and slow digesting carbs that energize you instantly. Made with whole, natural ingredients, it fills you up quickly and satisfies your taste buds. On top of that, it’s good for your waistline.
Cinnamon, one of the main ingredients in this paleo bread recipe, regulates blood sugar and increases metabolism. It also lowers your risk of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, insulin resistance, obesity, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. My paleo bread is made with almond flour, which boasts essential fatty acids, anti-inflammatory compounds, and dietary fiber. It’s also lower in carbs and higher in protein than regular flour.
This cinnamon raisin bread recipe is ideal for those on low carb and gluten free diets. It’s grain free and can be frozen for days. Its taste, texture, and quality are superior to those of regular bread. The raisins are sweet enough, so it’s no need to add honey or agave syrup.
